Idea for FTCC Cars.

Post  Gel38 on Sun May 04, 2014 8:32 am

Hey Alex, I've got an idea. (It would have to spread by word of mouth of your friends and stuff)

Time trials for the FTCC cars... Build one of the cars And Run on Certain tracks. Just list your car PI, and Time. All cars for the Time Trials would be FTCC cars only though (With the setup). It'd be a sort of Rivals mode for these cars. (maybe i'll add the other cars to the list making the grand total 45 cars or so?) This way too, the 8 T1 cars could be involved on a separate board?

I'd have to make another forum with a post at the top (updated from posts of other people) on their times. But the only thing is, it'd have to be a code of honesty. (Maybe have people save the replays and post it in their store front or upload a video?)

this sounds like a great idea, until we get enough drivers to run a full series or a few races.

this would be a great way for us to see who is best at driving what, and what tracks various drivers are strong on, and while yes there isnt the element of an opponent breathing down their neck or blocking their favorite line, it still gives us an idea of how quick people are.

maybe make it a weekly challenge? pick a track and see who can tune their car of choice to run the fastest within that one week span of time.

This may indeed happen. I was running on Tsukuba and Camino Full Reverse last night. I was getting 1.04's on Tsukuba, and 1.12.2's on camino.

But that was with a Citroen DS4. One of the new cars. (i'm gonna have to add them in I think)

id love to see what you have for new cars, will give me even more options to test out various cars and tracks!

ill run those later tonight in a couple cars, ill let ya know what sort of times i run

edit: i ran my old go-to, the r32 skyline, and put up a solid 1:03.6, posted replay to my storefront

however, i am currently testing a new car, one that is turning out to be quite a bit quicker, ill start posting its times and replays once the "time trials" season starts

when i get home ill start doing baseline runs in the s14(my slowest rwd), the cobalt(my slowest fwd), and 2.5 legacy(my slowest awd)

ill post the slowest of the three times for each track, that way we can have some low starting "baseline" times to start the competition! and on record, im struggling a bit, my fastest time last time i ran these cars on suzuka east was 55.8, my fastest this week was a 1:01.4, so i need to get back to working on tuning and driving, and yes wheel is having issue so ill be blaming my controller for my bad driving  Rolling Eyes

i already have 19 times (and replays) with my official vehicle, once i get the livery done ill post pics. i wont add them to the circuit time trials page yet as i dont have the specs in front of me, so unsure of exact pi or horsepower, i believe it is one or two below the max allowable horsepower, none of the cars i built are at or above the limit so that shouldnt be an issue. im not home at the moment so itll be a few days before i get any more forza times, info or liveries taken care of.

the vehicle im running now is the ford escort, still working out designs and colors but im thinking having mountain dew as a fake main sponsor

Yeah man! That's great! I set one for Camino Viejo Mini in my tuscani (Tiburon) Funny thing is, I beat my old best time on that track (which was a Subaru 22b) I'm sitting in like 8000 position on the scoreboards with a 552 PI car...totally funny!

Tonight, i'm going to try and update the cars list to the full 51 Cars... so it'll give us more playing room. Smile

more playing room? more headaches tryin to pic the best car is a little more accurate scratch

if your time is that high in the leaderboards, im thinking i can write off any effort to beat it. im good, just not top 8000 good!

car modifications are more open on rivals, but with these spec cars its not as easy. my talent is piecing together the car, but tuning a spec vehicle.... im not quite on par! ill give it my best, looking forward to seeing what the new cars are, see if my ford escort remains my battle cruiser or if ill be running a new set of wheels
